Nancy Lowe
Through acupuncture and emotional freedom technique I am able to help my patients restore balance in both mind and bodyDr. Nancy Lowe

Dr. Nancy Lowe began her career in holistic health over 30 years ago with an interest in natural foods and nutrition. She became a certified massage therapist, and soon afterward was enrolled at Five Branches University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She received her acupuncture license in 1987 and is now a professor at Five Branches University.

In 2008, after two years of rigorous study with many eminent Chinese and American practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM,) including study at Zhejiang University of Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, China, she received her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM.) She continues to study energy and herbal medicine as it applies to the body, mind and spirit.

In 2009, Dr. Lowe added Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to her practice. She realized that many of her patients’ problems had strong emotional components. She needed a way to discover and resolve the emotional roots of her patients’ suffering. When she found EFT, she understood that this was the modality she had been searching for.

Ram Gupta
I have experienced first hand how hypnotherapy can change livesRam Gupta
| Email Blog posts Hypnotherapy

Ram Gupta is a certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (CCHT) who studied at Palo Alto School of Hypnotherapy. He studied under Dorothy Tyo, who is arguably the best hypnotherapist in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has received certificates in Advanced Hypnotherapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy and Medical Hypnotherapy. He also has a master’s degree in computer science from University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Ram uses Hypnotherapy and Guided Empathy Meridian Tapping (GEMT), to help patients with pain, anxiety, depression, GI and hormonal issues.

By background Ram is a Silicon Valley entrepreneur having been in executive management roles at WebMD, PeopleSoft and Cast Iron Systems. He has served and continues to serve as director on a number of public and private company boards.

Ram had a life-changing event in 2013. He developed excruciating pain that spread throughout his body, and especially affecting the pelvic floor. He sought medical help at UCSF, UCLA Stanford, Cleveland Clinic, Oxford in the UK, University Medical College in Geneva, Switzerland, but found no relief of his pain. He was on a number of pain, anxiety, depression and sleep medications and a number of supplements, but nothing brought relief. Then he received Hypnotherapy and started to get better and now is the healthiest he has ever been.

This harrowing personal experience and transformation from sickness to health led him to pursue studies in hypnotherapy. Now, as a certified hypnotherapist he uses the same techniques that helped him to help alleviate others’ suffering.

Due to his successful career in business, Ram does not practice hypnotherapy in order to make a living but does so through his desire to help to others. His patients therefore receive his care free of charge.

Ram is happily married. He enjoys reading, Pilates and traveling. He never misses the Colbert Report show on television and is always up for a good joke.

I have worked for physicians for almost my entire professional career and I have never seen or been part of any office that from start to finish makes the patient feel the way that these people do!Sue
