Endometriosis & Pelvic Pain
More than 15 percent of women suffer from chronic pelvic pain. While this condition is often caused by endometriosis, other conditions commonly contribute to the pain. Symptoms such as fatigue, bloating, painful intercourse, endometriosis on the bowel or bladder problems, joint pain, muscle pain, allergies, and so on are often present in addition to the pain, creating an overall body illness. Simply put, physically and emotionally, pelvic pain and endometriosis symptoms can cripple the ability of women to lead a normal life.
The fact that women with endometriosis look healthy, combined with ineffective treatment of this disease, unfortunately results in many women being told that their debilitating pain is in their heads. This could not be further from the truth. My experience is just the opposite: most women usually hide their pain and suffering from others.
Treatment of endometriosis and pelvic pain can be complex, and is not fully understood by the medical community. However, at Vital Health Institute, our advanced programs have been very successful in significantly improving a woman's quality of life. We treat women the way they deserve to be treated. We believe that women with pelvic pain must be heard and their pelvic pain treatment must be a priority. They are the ones who experience the pain, the disruption to their lives, and the frustration of not getting proper treatment. We believe that a woman knows her own body better than any outside person. We acknowledge her pain experiences as real, even if it is difficult to find the cause. At Vital Health Institute we are dedicated to providing treatment of your endometriosis with dignity and ultimately improving your quality of life.
Some women come to Vital Health Institute convinced that since there is not yet a cure for endometriosis, there is nothing that can be done about their pain. They feel they are doomed to live a life of suffering. At Vital Health Institute, we can help and have helped many women suffering from pelvic pain and endometriosis. We treat women with the dignity and respect they deserve. In the process, their medical problems are corrected. For the vast majority of our patients, their quality of life is returned.
At Vital Health Institute we take a comprehensive approach to the treatment of pelvic pain and endometriosis, which includes both complete surgical removal of the endometriosis, and multi-disciplinary restoration of the patient's health.
Endometriosis Research & Treatment Information
While surgery is a crucial component, the successful treatment of pelvic pain and endometriosis is much more than just the surgical removal of the endometrial implants, even when performed correctly with complete surgical excision. I believe that a physician who is only providing surgical excision to eliminate pelvic pain and endometriosis pain is providing incomplete treatment. Surgery can remove the disease, but cannot restore health in a patient. At Vital Health Institute, we believe that a multi-disciplinary approach, which encompasses a comprehensive philosophy, is the key to true health and wellness. We evaluate the entire person, including: the patient's metabolic status, immune function, hormonal health, nutrition, biomechanics (function of the muscles, bones, joints and ligaments), nervous system functioning, the effects of the environment, and more.
At Vital Health Institute, we care about our patients and are excited about our comprehensive pelvic pain and endometriosis treatment program. Dr. Cook relates, "I have met and successfully treated thousands of women suffering from endometriosis and pelvic pain. If you are interested, I would like to help you regain your life."
