Treatment for Endometriosis

Learn more about the 10 different programs that the Vital Health Institute offers: Endometriosis & Pelvic Pain – Nearly 15 percent of women suffer from chronic pelvic pain, and this is sometimes caused by endometriosis where the symptoms include fatigue, bloating, painful intercourse and other muscle pain. We understand that endometriosis and pelvic pain can be detrimental to a woman's life and we're committed to treating endometriosis with our industry leading techniques. Minimally Invasive Surgery – Using a "laparoscope", a telescope-like instrument, minimally invasive surgery typically includes only a one-quarter to one-half inch incision. Fibroids & Abnormal Bleeding – Treatment for abnormal bleeding is defined by the two different categories, anatomic causes and hormonal causes. These distinct categories lead to different treatment types of treatment. When the bleeding is caused by fibroids, with Dr. Cook's experience with minimally invasive surgery, they can usually be removed laparoscopically without the need for a large incision. Interstitial Cystitis – If you're experiencing frequent and painful urination, it's a good chance that you may have interstitial cystitis (IC). Pain Management – This program is designed get your pain under control. Dr. Cook wants to find the cause of your pain and get rid of it. But until that happens, it is important to effectively deal with the pain. He cares about each patient and wants them to have a comfortable road to recovery. Menopause – Menopause is one of the most misunderstood changes that happen to a woman's body. If you are healthy, active and enjoying life but don't want menopause to hinder you, Dr. Andrew Cook and Linda Mavity, a Nurse Practitioner who is a Certified North American Menopause Society Practitioner, may have an answer for you. Menopause symptoms range from vaginal dryness, hot flashes, irritability, insomnia, and mood swings.
