Dr. Cook’s Philosophy
|
Lack of disease does not equate to good health. At Vital Health Institute we offer a multi-disciplinary and comprehensive philosophical approach to the treatment of a wide range of women's health issues. While we are internationally known for our unique comprehensive approach to treating endometriosis and pelvic pain, we offer this same excellence of care to most women's health care issues, which are reflected in the range of health care programs offered at Vital Health Institute. Dr. Cook earned his international surgical reputation by successfully treating some the most difficult cases of endometriosis. While his surgical expertise in treatment of endometriosis is vital, it is only a portion of the pelvic pain treatment program. Over the years, Dr. Cook has sought out the answers to treating all of the complex problems encountered with pelvic pain patients. Admittedly, these are some of the most difficult medical problems faced by physicians. Since no one approach to medicine provides satisfactory answers, Vital Health Institute has grown to encompass a truly unique philosophical comprehensive approach to health care. Application of this systematic comprehensive approach is providing our patients with levels of health and functioning not previously achieved with the routine single-minded approach commonly employed, whether it be traditional Western medicine or integrative alternative medicine. The complexity of endometriosis and pelvic pain pushed Dr. Cook to adopt this wonderful new approach to medicine. It turns out that this approach works just as well for other, less complex medical problems faced by many women. Dr. Cook had to decide whether to limit the care provided by Vital Health Institute to just endometriosis and pelvic pain patients, or open the practice to all medical issues. He chose the latter. Thus, while we are an international endometriosis and pelvic pain treatment center treating the most difficult patients, we also strive to provide the best medical care to a wide range of women and their health care issues. |
