When you're in pain and not sure if anyone will ever find the cause, the last thing you want to think about is dealing with your insurance company to cover the cost of your doctor's visits – you just want (and deserve) relief. But quite frankly, our country's medical insurance system is complex, hard to understand, and all too often frustrating. More and more of the top-quality doctors are deciding to go "out of network" to provide the care their patients deserve.

As a health care provider, Dr. Cook and Vital Health Institute had to make the decision to be an in-network provider or an out-of-network provider. The complexity of endometriosis and pelvic pain, along with ever-decreasing reimbursement rates from insurance companies, was preventing us from providing the services patients need.

At Vital Health Institute, we understand how frustrating this aspect of medical care can be, and we're dedicated to creating the most streamlined invoicing and payment process possible. For this reason we have contracted with North Medical Billing, a third-party billing service. North Medical covers every aspect of the insurance claim processing for VHI patients. This includes insurance verification, claim submission, tracking of payments and, if necessary, appealing claims denied by insurance companies on behalf of our patients.

Insurance companies rely on health care providers' and patients' lack of ability and resources to fight back. Doug North and this team at North Medical Billing are experts in the field of billing practices, and are available to help our patients work through their "explanation of benefits." They will gladly coordinate any response to your insurance company that may be necessary.
